One of the main purposes of BCLA is to connect librarians across Bucks County, and beyond, to each other. We all have the common goal of sharing information and a love of reading with our patrons - take time to enhance your work while helping others. You never know where your next great idea will come or with whom you can collaborate on a project with!
BCLA offers these benefits:
- Networking with county and state librarians - BCLA events are not only meant for professional learning, but planned to allow time for conversation and idea-sharing.
- Access to stimulating group events and programs - BCLA sponsors two professional learning events a year in the fall and spring. Each event features a light dinner and professional learning
- Act 48 hours for all events. We also provide certificates of participation for Continuing Education credits.
- The "Bucks for Books" Scholarship - Annual membership dues help support this student scholarship program, offered to a high school senior who plans to persue an education degree.
- Professional support from BCLA and affliation with PSLA
- A library organization to list on a resume or observation form
Membership is $20.00 on an annual basis, collected during the fall event registration (due annually on December 31).
Please complete the online membership application. Checks should be payable to BCLA.
